Ferrocyanide water flux assay, modified Ussing chambers to assess in vivo intestinal ion and nutrient transport, radiolabeled isotope quantification, surgical techniques, utilization of piglets and rats as experimental models, writing and submitting animal care protocols, parenteral nutrition formulation, oro-gastric gavaging, fixing, sectioning, and staining intestinal specimens for histomorphological examination, tissue homogenate preparation, and light microscopy to assess morphological features of intestinal samples.
